Girls Day Out Camden, Maine

What a wonderful girls day out we had. We went to Camden Maine a little fishing village with lots of shops and cafes. We ate lunch on the dock of lobster and crab rolls, before we boarded The Schooner Olad. This was our first time on a windjammer. We wanted to see the Curtis Island Light. The best way to see it was from a boat. So off went went. While in the harbor is was nice and warm but as we went future out to sea it got cold and we were not really dress for it so the captain gave us blankets and me a jacket. We got to see seals and we learned about a hermit from the Vietnam War, who lived on one of the islands. We saw lobster boat catching the catch for the day. We enjoyed the ride even though it was a bit cold.

We then came in and had hot chocolate at one of the cafes on the water then went shopping. After that we headed home with a stop along one of the beaches for finding rocks for the grandma garden at Joy's house, and for Theresa to adventure out on a rock breaker wall just before high tide. We laughed and enjoyed each other's company on the trip home. I think it was one of the best times Theresa and I have ever had together. It was a wonderful bonding moment. One I will remember forever. I hope while I am in Maine we will have more times like these.
