Bad bear at Lonesomehurst

Well, our resident bear who has visited us 3 times before came back. This time he was a bad bear. He went into the back of a truck and found a cooler and ripped it open and also scratch the side of the truck getting to the cooler.
Leigh had told this camper to store his coolers and he talked to the guy about the bear having been here 3 times before. I guess the guy thought the cooler was ok in the back of this truck but he was wrong.
Hope our little bear stays away because now he is in trouble and it could cost him his life.

Where's the Beef?

Where,s the beef? Well right now it is in Lonesomehurst. I don't know where they came from but we have had cattle come into the park twice. Since we have been in Lonsomehurst we have not had a shortage of critters. Moose,Bear, Bison , a Golden Eagle and now cattle.
I must say we have enjoyed all our critters and our time here at Lonesomehurst. Time is getting short and we are getting itchie for new adventures but we have had a lot of adventures here.

Chocolate

This is a forward I received in my email but since I believe like this little old lady I am adding this to my blog.

One day I had a date for lunch with friends. Mae, a little old(blue Hair) lady about 80 years old, came along with them. When the menus were presented, we ordered salads, sandwiches, and soups, except for Mae who said, "Ice Cream, please. Two scoops chocolate."

I wasn't sure my ears heard right, and the others were aghast.

"Along with heated apple pie" Mae added, completely unabashed.

We tried to act quite nonchalant, as if people did this all the time.

But when our orders were bought out, I didn't enjoy mine.

I couldn't take my eyes off Mae as her pie ala mode went down.

The other ladies showed dismay. They ate their lunches silently and frowned.

The next time I went out to eat, I called and invited Mae.

I lunched on white meat tuna. She ordered a parfait. I smiled. She asked if she amused me.

I answered, "yes, you do, but also you confuse me.

" How come you order rich desserts, while I feel I must be sensible?"

She laughed and said, with a wanton mirth, "I'm tasting all that is Possible. I try to eat the food I need. and do the things I should.

But life's so short, my friend, I hate missing out on something good.

This year I realized how old I was. (she grinned) I haven't been this old before. So, before I die,
I've got to try those things that for years I had ignored.

I haven't smelled all the flowers yet. There are too many books I haven't read. There's more fudge sundaes to wolf down and kites to be flown overhead.

There are many malls I haven't shopped. I've not laughed at all the jokes.

I've missed a lot of Broadway hits and potato chips and cokes. I want to wade again in water and feel ocean spray on my face.

I want to sit in a country church once more and thank God for his grace.

I want peanut butter every day spread on my morning toast.

I want un-timed long distance calls to the folks I love the most.

I haven't cried at all the movies yet, or walked in the morning rain.

I need to feel wind in my hair. I want to fall in love again.

So, if I choose to have dessert, instead of having dinner, then should I die before night fall,
I'd say I died a winner, because I missed out on nothing. I filled my heart's desire.

I had that final chocolate mousse before my life expired."

With that, I called the waitress over.. "I've changed my mind," I said. "I want what she is having, only add some whipped cream!"

This is a gift to you my family and friends. Be mindful that happiness isn't based on possessions, power, or prestige, but on relationships with people we love and respect. Remember that while money talks, CHOCOLATE SINGS!

Mountains after a storm

Yesterday while working at the retreat we had a little snow storm that drop 1/2 inch of snow and then as it warmed it was gone, but when i went home this is what the mountains looked like.
The temperature dropped 30 degrees in one day. It seems in Montana that the seasons change abruptly. One minute it's summer and 90 degrees and the next day it's in the 60's during the day and 30's at night. Hope we get out of here before a big snow comes.

Herd of Antlopes

This is just a couple of antelope I see daily on my ride to the retreat at Wilderness Wdge. My time is getting short here and i will really miss this ride.

My little friend

As I go to work at Wilderness edge I see this little guy and his family almost daily. I have tons of pictures of his family but i caught this one as I was going in playing Danny O'Donnel on my cd player. I guess the little guy was enjoying the music.
