Inside the Cowboy Bar

We had a nice lunch at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. We had met up with a couple of bikers Barbara and Steve and ate with them there. It was a unique place. The seats at the bar was saddles, and they had silver dollars inlaid in the bar. There was stain glass western scene with cowboys and Indians above the bar and unique display through it. The food was cook and atmosphere greats and the company a plus. all in all it was just a fun day.

Jackson Hole Wyoming

Jackson Hole Wyoming is a cute Tourist town. They had tons of shops Art galleries neat places to eat and shop. We met up with a couple of bikers on the way there, Steve and Barbara from Newburgh New York. They were just coming from bike week in Sturgis South Dakota. So we went to eat with them at the Cowboy Bar that was a unique place. We shopped and took in a couple of art galleries and then headed back home. Any awesome day off. Sure beat sitting at home watching TV. Did you notice the antler arch they have coming into the park there. Also notice we are only kissing big bronze bears now not real ones. lol

Harley Ride through the Tetons

We took a bike ride through the Grand Teton National Park, it's in Wyoming, About 3 hours from where we are in West Yellowstone. It was an awesome ride on the bike and I tried to take pictures as we rode. The sun was out and it was just a beautiful day. The scenery was just awesome. We are loving the west. It has no humidity and most summer days are sunny. The Grand Tetons are just awesome. All the different mountain ranges are unique out here all different. If you love nature there is alot of untouch beauty here.

Good Day fishing!

Our days are getting short in Montana as we only have 40 some days left here. The fishing is getting good again. Leigh had a ball out on his little floatie boat. He got an 18 inch rainbow trout. He had so much fun catching it as it went under his boat and the line got caught in his foot peddle and trying to hold the line tight and get that fish in the boat made for a great fish story.

Tomorrow is our days off and we are trying to figure out just where we want to go and see as our money is low. We are trying to save up some gas money and we only have $300.00 put aside. Our fellow workampers at rainbow saved all their paychecks so they are in good shape.

I'm going to try to save has much of my SS as I can to get us to Arizona. We wanted to stop in California and see Paulie and the redwood Forest but not sure if we can afford it or not.

I am trying to live my bucket list of seeing and doing all we can versus trying to afford it. One moment I say, well, I may never be back this way so go and do it and use a charge card. But now we are on such a limited budget I don't think that is a good idea. So I will have to keep weighting the pros and cons of that one. Any comments on the subject will be helpful.

Walk up the Mountain

Yesterday I took a long walk up the mountain. We are up about 6000 feet and up the mountain adds a few hundred feet. I have noticed that in these high elevations my breathing is more labored as I exercise. But I keep going and after awhile it levels out. It's just that hike up to the top that near kills me. LOL

I like to go up there because of the beautiful views. The wild flowers and the rocks I am collecting for Kyle. In fact, the whole time I was up there my thoughts were on my grandchildren. thoughts of when we lived in the 1000 Islands and i use to take my grandchildren on hikes out back. We explored caves used by the underground railroad. We saw deer, fox and other wildlife and we picked wildflowers. That is why I think this walk brought back all those memories. I have had many experiences and joys in my life but I think the best memories for me is the time I have spent with my grandchildren. They keep me young at heart and they just love grandma with all her faults. I don't think there is anything better than having loving grandchildren, and I truly treasure mine. I know they are all growing up fast and soon they won't have time to hang-out with grandma but we have made all these beautiful memories that I will have to think on.

Lonesomehurst Campers of the Week

Our Campers with week are the Robson Family reunion. The patriarch is Cecil E. Robson from Billing, MT. The family has had 3 family reunions here at Lonesomehurst followed by a golf Tournament in Billing. The families came from as far east as Frenchville, Maine to as far west as San Francisco, California with Mountain Home, Illinos and Las Vegas ,Nevada. They gathers here at Lonesomehurst for a fun week of camping, boating, going into Yellowstone National Park, and just enjoying the whole family being together. They even put up a wonderful Tee Pee I believe to celebrated their Indian heritage. They were a fun group and we enjoyed having them at Lonesomehurst. The family members are as follows:
